900 MHz (GSM) exposure to mobile phone users and modeling of SAR variations in the eye due to wearing spectacles |
| Details |
|
Modeling study - the authors report a 2-fold increase in SAR in the eye from an RF transmitter caused by wearing conducting spectacles. The model simulated a CW-emitting device held in the hand in front of the face, not a mobile phone held in the usual talk position at the ear. The metallic spectacles were placed about 1 inch in front of the eyes (a greater than normal distance). |
