Evaluation of occupational EMF exposure (both established and emerging technologies) as it relates to safety and health protection at work. Special attention is given to telecommunications, industry, medicine and research, new workplace environments. Evaluation will include collection of all characteristic variables for EMF (electric and magnetic field intensity, flux densities, modulation, effective operating time etc.) as well as other relevant data. The results of the investigation will be included in databases and made available for internal and external inquiries. A specified aim of the project is to establish a basis for evaluation and application of protective measures. The results will provide support for the elaboration of harmonized European standards for the restriction of emission of electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields from products (product safety).
