Model Occupational exposure in electricity-related occupations and correlation with primary brain tumors
Details

Case control study of deaths (n = 951 adult white males from 1969-1982) and correlation with employment in electricity-related occupations (electrician, electric or electronic engineer, utility company serviceman). The authors report a significant association with primary brain tumors that positively related to electromagnetic (EM) field exposure. Further, the mean age at death was significantly younger in cases in the high EM-exposure group. The authors suggest EM exposure may be associated with brain tumor pathogenesis, particularly in the promoting stage
