60 Hz exposure to B cells in culture and analysis of gene expression and protein activity |
Details |
|
B-lineage lymphoid cells were exposed to 50 Hz ELF and analyzed for gene expression patterns. The authors report stimulation of protein tyrosine kinases Lyn and Syk, resulting in tyrosine phosphorylation of multiple downstream substrates and activation of protein kinase C (PKC). Because the effect occurred in Syk-deficient but not in Lyn-deficient cells, the authors conclude that Lyn kinase is necessary for EMF-induced tyrosine phosphorylation. |
