Model 3-7 GHz (FM) broadcast tower and 4-18 MHz glueing machine exposure to humans and EEG,
Details

Human subjects (Industrial workers in Poland) exposed to radio and television installations (3-7 GHz and having an average power density ranging from 0.1 mW/cm2 to 2.0 mW/cm2) and furniture gluing machines (4-18 MHz having average power density of approximately 1 mW/cm2). The study reports complaints of nonspecific symptoms such as increased irritability, perspiration, dizziness, sleep disruption, and headaches associated with exposure. Abnormal EEG recordings were obtained in 29% of radio and television workers and in 70% of furniture gluers, and included decreased a-wave activity. In another study, a group of 115 radio and television employees were analyzed for correlations between RF exposure and nervous system disorders. Exposure was correlated with a slight increase in cardiovascular and eye changes, but the nature of these was not clear. The authors also reported the RF exposed groups showed increased stress and reduced sociability. A more recent study suggested a correlation between workers occupationally exposed to RF and hyperglycemia.
