Human subjects (Motorola employees, n=168,496) in a cohort epidemiological study were stratified according to job titles into high, moderate, low, and background RF exposure categories, and an attempt was made to correlate cancer incidence during the period of 1979-1995 with RF exposure history. Exposure categorization did not include use of personal cellular telephones. As an additional external control, cancer rates of all employees from Florida, Arizona, Illinois, and Texas were used for comparison. A significant healthy worker effect was observed overall. No evidence of an association between brain cancers or leukemia & lymphoma was observed in the study cohort. |
