Model ELF exposure due to residential proximity to power lines and correlations with childhood acute leukemia
Details

Children with acute leukemia (n = 128) were evaluated against controls living in the general same area. Exposure information was gathered by questionnaire to the parents / guardians regarding socidemographics, family income, lifestyle, reproductive history, and the residential environment including proximity to gas stations, main roads, and overhead power lines. The authors report OR = 2.30 (95% CI = 1.18-4.49, p = 0.015) for living within 200 meters of a power line.
