Model		50 Hz (ELF) exposure to cardiac cells (cardiospheres) and analysis of gene expression
Details		Cardiac cells (grown from biopsies of human myocardia) were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) (also the ion cyclotron energy resonance of Ca++) for 5 days. The authors report significant increases in the expression of various cardiac markers. The authors suggest ELF exposure may be able to drive cardiac-specific differentiation in adult cardiac progenitor cells without pharmacological or genetic manipulation.
