50 Hz (ELF) exposure to human trophoblasts and analysis of hormone secretion |
Details |
|
Primary human trophoblasts were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) at 0.4 mT (either as a sinusoidal signal or in the presence of overlapping "noise" signals) for 72 hrs and analyzed for hormone secretion. The authors report exposure to the 50 Hz sinusoidal signal decreased human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and progesterone secretion, but this was not observed with exposure to "noise" signal or 50 Hz superimposed with noise. |
