50 Hz (ELF) exposure to mice during gestation and analysis of subsequent brain morphology after birth |
Details |
|
Mice were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) for 6 hrs/day for 5 days at 1.2 mT on gestation days 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15. The authors report a significant decrease in the thickness of granular layer and molecular layer as well as the number of Purkinje Cells with exposure (p<0.001). The authors suggest ELF exposure may have adverse effects on the cerebellum of developing animals (and perhaps humans). |
