Static magnetic field exposure to cells and embryonic tissue and analysis of angiogenesis |
Details |
|
Chick chorioallantoic membranes (CAM) and human umbilical vein endothelial (HUVEC) cells were exposed to static magnetic fields with a spatial gradient of 0.2-0.4 T, 2.09 T/m and analyzed for angiogenesis. The authors report exposure inhibited endothelial cell proliferation in HUVEC cells and vascular number and density in CAM cultures. The authors suggest static magnetic fields may inhibit or prevent new blood vessel formation and could have clinical relevance |
