Human embryonic cells were exposed to static magnetic fields at 0.23-0.28 Tesla and analyzed for mRNA expression profile. The authors report activation of inflammatory cytokines (IL-6) and pathogen recognition receptors (TLR4) as well as increased expression of other genes (NEU3, ST3GAL5) in a manner that augmented the activation of TLR4 and IL-6. |
