ID Number 2151
Study Type Human / Provocation
Model 60 Hz exposure to volunteers and analysis of skin blood flow and heart rate
Details

Volunteers (n = 58) were exposed to 60 Hz ELF for 1 hr at 1.8 milliT and analyzed for effects on skin blood flow. The authors report a decrease in skin blood perfusion / microcirculation and heart rate. Skin temperature was decreased during sham treatment but not not during exposure, although the authors conclude this was likely due to heat generated by the coils themselves and not due to effects of the magnetic fields.
