20 Hz (PEMF) to diabetic rats and analysis of wound healing |
Details |
|
Wistar rats (treated with streptozocin to induce diabetes) were exposed to 20 Hz with a 4 msec pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) at 8 milliT directly over the area of a wound incision and analyzed for wound healing. The authors report that PEMF exposure accelorated wound healing by decreasing the time necessary for healing and increasing the tensile strength of the wound. |
