900, 1800 MHz (GSM), 2450 MHz (CW) exposure to human lymphocytes and cell lines and analysis of DNA breaks, micronuclei formation, and chromosome aberrations |
Details |
|
HL60 cells and human peripheral blood lymphocytes (mitogen stimulated) from both young and old doners exposed for 24 hours to 900 MHz (GSM), 1800 MHz (GSM), or 2450 MHz RF at ~ 1.3 W/kg and analyzed for DNA breaks by Comet assay, Micronuclei formation, and chromosome aberrations using in situ hybridization techniques. Preliminary results suggested an effect of 1.8 GHz exposure on inducing single and double strand breaks in HL-60 cells. |
