ID Number 41
Study Type In Vivo
Model 837 MHz (TDMA, CDMA, CW) exposure to rats and analysis of DNA breaks in brain cells
Details

Sprague Dawley (male) rats were exposed for 3 hours to 837 MHz TDMA, CDMA, or CW at 1, 5, or 10 W/kg + 3 hour recovery period, and brain cells harvested and analyzed by the Singh alkaline comet assay method. The study was a replication of previously reported positive findings by Lai & Singh, but using communication specific RF signals instead of 2450 MHz (CW). The study was also performed in parallel with Drs. Lai & Singh using the same exposure systems and comet assay procedures. No effects were observed by Tice et al.
