837 MHz (TDMA, CDMA, CW) exposure to rats and analysis of DNA breaks in brain cells |
Details |
|
Sprague Dawley (male) rats were exposed for 3 hours to 837 MHz TDMA, CDMA, or CW at 1, 5, or 10 W/kg + 3 hour recovery period, and brain cells harvested and analyzed by the Singh alkaline comet assay method. The study was a replication of previously reported positive findings by Lai & Singh, but using communication specific RF signals instead of 2450 MHz (CW). The study was also performed in parallel with Drs. Lai & Singh using the same exposure systems and comet assay procedures. No effects were observed by Tice et al. |
